Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics

The standards that define our profession

A robust and binding code of conduct is essential for an association that aspires to raise the standards of a profession. It is not a mere declarative document, but a practical tool that defines behavioral expectations and protects the collective reputation of all our members.

Fundamental Principles

Loyalty to the Client

The agent must always act in the best interest of their client (player, coach, or club), putting it before their own interests.

Transparency and Disclosure

Obligation to clearly inform clients about all commissions, fees, and possible conflicts of interest. Disclosure of prices or contractual conditions of other partners without consent is prohibited.

Conflict of Interest

Multiple representation (representing more than one party in the same transaction) is prohibited without prior, express, and written consent of all parties involved, in strict compliance with FIFA's RAFF.

Professional Respect and Fair Competition

Damaging the reputation or devaluing the work of other members is prohibited. Client acquisition practices must be ethical and transparent, avoiding "aggressive recruitment".

Confidentiality

Obligation to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information and negotiations.

Regulatory Compliance

Commitment to know and comply at all times with FIFA's Football Agent Regulations, FIFA statutes, and the regulations of relevant confederations and national federations.

Protection of the Sport's Image

Act in a manner that preserves and promotes the integrity and good image of football, avoiding any conduct that could damage the reputation of the sport or the profession.

Disciplinary Regime

The Board of Directors, through the Ethics and Discipline Committee, may apply sanctions for non-compliance with the code. The affected member will always have the right to defense before the sanction becomes final.

Warning

For minor infractions or first offense. Formal notification to the member.

Temporary Suspension

Suspension of benefits for a determined period. Applies to moderate offenses or recidivism.

Expulsion

Permanent termination of membership. Reserved for serious code violations or conduct that seriously damages the association.

Our Commitment

By joining GAFA, you commit to comply with these principles and to always act with the highest professional integrity. Together, we raise the standard of our profession and protect the reputation of all licensed football agents.
